Our different colors of stains can be mixed to create hundreds of different shades to give you the exact match you desire.  Our stains can last 25 years when properly applied. It is definitely maintenance free! Sealants are not necessary unless the surface will be walked on or driven on.

You can apply multiple coats to create a more textured look. You can highlight parts of the brick or masonry with different colors for a rustic appearance, or you can thin the stain with water to give depth or create a "wash", where the original brick color will show through. 

If your masonry requires cleaning before it is stained, you can power-wash it or scrub it with a brush and a mild solution of muriatic acid and water.  Please make sure that the surface has completely dried before staining.

Important to know
Stain is not Paint. When you PAINT a brick it fills in the pores and creates a membrane over the surface and eventually peels. This creates a non-breathable surface which is paramount for masonry structures. They have to breathe! When water or other moisture gets trapped behind paint, it comes through the surface and causes the paint to peel. Staining, on the other hand, penetrates the surface, leaving it re-colored but without that non-breathable membrane. That way, when moisture escapes it is allowed to come through the surface but nothing peels.
